Empyrean is a Visual novel game based around the life of a young child, whose home and the whole world have been ravaged by war. But it's all about to change when she meets a kind stranger, offering a way out from the horrors around her in the form of a pair of mysterious glasses.

Join our protagonist as she's transported into the distorted wonderland of creative colour and freedom in Empyrean. Help to guide our protagonist away from the clutches of the Kracken and to escape the dangers of her real life, and follow in her wonder-filled journey through Empyrean to be reunited with her parents.

This game is suitable for all ages, though it is highly metaphorical, thus the meanings may be misunderstood.

Coolio Studio is the team behind the development of Empyrean and is composed of 2 writers and 5 artists studying at Nottingham Trent University.

Lauren Morey and Sarah Stamps created the story of Empyrean while Alexandre Gouveia, Daniela Canto, Ellena Fox, Fay Bosher and Kay Norris built and coded the game.
